Christmas Loot

Hello! I trust your January is going swimmingly! I have been enjoying reading all of your blogs and seeing all of the organizing and cleaning posts that everyone is posting. Wow! I'm inspired to clean, clean, clean!!
But right now, I wanted to show you some of the lovely things I received for Christmas this year!

Take a look at this hand painted vintage suitcase! Have you ever?!? My sister painted it. She is the best artist I know.

Oh, I love it. I just keep staring at it.

I wanted books for Christmas. And boy-howdy I got some dandy's! :) I posted about them here on my book blog Jane and Elizabeth if you'd like to see more details.

Look at these great scrapbooking supplies! I am going to make some amazing stuff... :) I also got a big paper stack from my sis with the most amazing retro looking papers. So excited to use them!

Marg made me this sweet Heirloom Tomato pincushion for me! She had made one for our Etsy shop and sold it at a craft fair and I whined and pouted about it so she made one for me. Hee hee! Isn't it cute? There's a sweet one here in our Etsy shop too. So darling! Isn't my sis talented?

And look at this! My mom got us the most amazing Christmas presents this year at antique stores. Can you guess what this is?

You are correct! It's an antique camera case! And LOOK what was inside? This antique cox camera! Oh, I just love it. It just exudes charm. :)

My mom also found the pillowcases and linens at an antique store. They look good on my bed don't they? :)

The sweet embroidered pillow case is just so delicate. I need to get a pillow form for it so that I can use it in my room.

Isn't this linen table runner beautiful? Love the hand embroidery.
I also got a wonderful trunk this Christmas. I've been wanting one for an age and this year I got one! I will post it when I take a picture of it.
Please share what you received for Christmas! I would love to hear all about it.

Love,
Genevieve

Hi Genevieve,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I too am one of six sisters, and I have never stopped playing with dolls. I played Barbies with my little sisters till I was 15 and found a boyfriend, who unfortunately took up all my Barbie doll time. But he DID buy me a Marie Osmond Barbie doll for Christmas. Not too many girls can claim such a sweet boy for a first boyfriend!

For Christmas, my husband bought me very old books written by persons who share the surname I grew up with. He's pretty darned sweet too!
