Yards of skirt and way off the shoulders...

Hello my lovelies! Today is an Audrey kind of day. I want to make this dress from Sabrina. It's gorgeous! I love how it has a pencil skirt in the front and a poofie, princess skirt around in the back! It's like a huge bustle dress! probably my favorite line in the whole movie is
"Yards of skirt and way off the shoulders!"
she says it so cute.. :)

Isn't this Photo fab-o, fab-o? I love yellow.. yellow is my favorite.. Yellow, yellow, yellow! *sigh*

The jacket is beautiful. Don't you think? I can't tell but it looks as if it might be quilted.. don't know. I love the fabric and the collar and the sleeves and everything about it! It's pretty amazing how wonderful she looks in this picture. I don't know, but I think there are very few people who can look that gorgeous in front of a wildly, yellow wall. :)
Until we meet again, I am most unalterably yours,
Aimee

My days are sillily occupied.. I enjoy quoting movies and polyvore and swooning over battle scenes and railing about something or another. Drinking tea with berry sorbet. Sketching wood nymphs. Getting the mail.. I never tire of getting the mail. I never get anything. But its so fun to take a walk in the weather and soak up the air and just as you reach the mail box you can sing the "mail" song from Blues Clues! "Here's the mail, It never fails! Makes me want to wag my tail! When it comes I want to wail MAAAIIIILLLL!!!" Ha ha! happy is the mail! ..the flag is down. I know I checked it five minuets ago but he just might have come! Oh how I wish he would!...No. nothing. sad and empty. But I'm out again with the next five minuets. So no permanent damage. only on Sundays.. I seem to forget the mail doesn't come that day. I want Ice Tea. it's such a summery thing to drink! Good and tasty. This doesn't have anything of what I'm talking about but it's a "paint it pretty" polyvore..

I love Peacocks.. Don't you think there so friendly? well.. we did meet one that was rather scary. He was standing there just casually looking around, We were looking right back at him but then we all got hungry so out came our lunch and we were happily gobbling down our sandwiches thinking nothing could be better! When he let out a squawk all crazy like! Only two feet behind us. It scared us all so bad we screamed. It was a fun picnic with our uninvited guest. Silly me! I shall see you all again someday..
xoxxxoxxxx I always believe in more kisses and hugs! The more, The merrier!

More Presents!!

I always have a big list of things that I made and took pictures of to put on here but alas... Sometimes it just doesn't happen. So, I thought I'd continue with a post like Gen's that might be of some enjoyment, inspiration or something. =]

Here are some pincushions that I made for birthday presents.
This is a Wolly Pop I made for My brother Johnny. It is inspired by the logo he designed for his coffee business Box Van Beans!
This is a Christmas present I gave to a dear friend of mine. It is completely upcycled! The bag/purse I made out of a burlap rice bag and some calico.
This record bowl I got from a local consignment shop. Cool, eh?
These are envelopes and labels that I made from a Free People Magazine. I like the hippie clothes and photography!
That's it for now! I hope you enjoyed it!

A Healthy Dinner

I made this for dinner a few weeks ago. I thought I'd share it with you!

Israeli couscous is bigger than the regular couscous and is so delicious! I used the recipe on the back of the box. It has parsley, pine nuts, raisins, cinnamon and many other yummy ingredients!

Macadamia nut encrusted Mahi Mahi. I used this recipe for the crust. We also tried the same recipe with chicken like it says. And oh my...SO good!!

My sisters FAMOUS mango salsa. YUM!!

Homemade Hummus. SO much better (and cheaper!!) than store bought. I used this recipe as a guideline. Garlic, salt and tahini to taste. No hot sauce. And I used Italian parsley, toasted pine nuts, olive oil and paprika for a garnish. Yum!

Homemade pita bread. (recipe from Food Network)

Have a lovely week!

Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With Lace

Thought I'd improvise on wrapping paper for my niece's birthday present! A brown paper bag with an initial cut out of a magazine advertisement. A remnant of synthetic blue lace to tie it all up and....viola! A gift fit for the cutest niece in the world!
