More Presents!!

I always have a big list of things that I made and took pictures of to put on here but alas... Sometimes it just doesn't happen. So, I thought I'd continue with a post like Gen's that might be of some enjoyment, inspiration or something. =]

Here are some pincushions that I made for birthday presents.
This is a Wolly Pop I made for My brother Johnny. It is inspired by the logo he designed for his coffee business Box Van Beans!
This is a Christmas present I gave to a dear friend of mine. It is completely upcycled! The bag/purse I made out of a burlap rice bag and some calico.
This record bowl I got from a local consignment shop. Cool, eh?
These are envelopes and labels that I made from a Free People Magazine. I like the hippie clothes and photography!
That's it for now! I hope you enjoyed it!

Aloha...

I thought I would do an actual 'blog' from today, instead of my normal, "This is what we did several months ago..." =]

Our Mom went to go visit our Grandma who is a couple hours away, and Genevieve had to go to town. So, Aimee and I were left to fend for ourselves for a few hours.
We decided to use the time wisely and leisurely make a very yummy breakfast!I was in a Hawaiian mood so I put on my favorite Hawaiian cd...
(they're the first one the playlist)

First I made Tea. Guava Green Tea!! Yum! My Brother Johnny just started selling it along with his Kauai Coffee!... (I think...)
If you want to know more about his business, click here >> Box Van Beans
Or if you want to order some tea or coffee -- (trust me, you do.)
You can call him here >> (541) 480-2441
Aimee made this adorable teapot cozy for our Mom. Isn't it cute! It works really good too!
And then I made German Hotcakes! (Which are kind of like crepes.)I had to make syrup because we didn't have any. So I threw some sugar, water, vanilla, almond extract and a pinch of cinnamon in and voila! Marguerite's Haole-Hawaiian-Syrup!
Syrup and butter is very good on hotcakes of course. And this (below) was also REALLY good! We put it with sour cream. yum!And kind of by accident...
my cup...
and my pajamas matched the hawaiian theme! Ha ha!It was lani!
Aloha,
Marguerite

Box Van Beans

Hello, I'm Johnny (the favorite brother). My sisters have been gracious enough to allow me some space on their blog. Thanks girls!
Just a few months ago I said to myself, "What is this thing called a blog?" Wouldn't you know, it was my younger sisters that schooled me about this thing. So here I go a-bloggin.
As you can see I am into old cars. This is a '63 Chevy II, loaded down for a camping trip to the Oregon coast with my family. This car along with the '63 Ford box van below, will be used in our business, Box van beans. My bride, Amanda, my children, Quinn, Erro and Amelie, and I are just getting started.
We are providing fine Hawaiian coffee from the island of Kauai.
We are selling it by the pound, primarily, over the phone and internet.
We are also delivering locally here in Bend Oregon, to individuals and businesses.
We are excited about selling coffee that's grown and roasted in the U.S. ,and about running a business as a family.
Please call me at 541-480-2441.
I have a small selection now, in order to offer it fresh.
Koloa Estate, (whole bean), (dark roast) $16. per lb.
Peaberry, (whole bean), (med. roast) $17. per lb.
Hawaiian Coconut Caramel Crunch (ground) $9. for 10 oz.
Estate Roasted, (whole bean), (vienna roast) $9. for 10 oz.
We buy our coffee from Kauai Coffee Company.
I will be posting more information as I am able.
Please visit the Kauai Coffee website for more description of the coffee.
Thank you, Johnny with Box Van Beans.
